Twenty Four players met at the Beacon on Sunday night to establish who was going to claim the second BPPL winners Bracelet and sizeable winners cash pot.

Some players had been sat at the top of the league for a good while and others had crept in at the death.

From the off play was tight and conservative, noone wanted to go out.

Sometimes the game is cruel - and players started to crash and burn and left the arena. We were seeing straights and flushes on the river time and time again.

At the break there was I think just eight casualties.

As the blinds went up more players started to fall, their dreams of claiming the bracelet vanishing into thin air.

And then we were down to the last eight and everyone moved to the final table. The Final Table 2010 (Pic 3)... (L to R) Peanut, The Champ, The Thumb AKA The King, The Iceman, The Elder, The Boatman, Fluffy and The Grinder!!!

Peanut, Last years Champion, who scraped in this year by the skin of his teeth, to defend his title was the first to go, in Cam's words, "The Peanut was Dry Roasted" after his small pair - no pun intended!! - was whacked by AK..

And still the battle of attrition continued, The King was massively stacked but "Fluffy" just couldn't miss!! In the end Fluffy's Ace held up against the Kings valiant attempt at the Brunson.

What a result, congratulations Fluffy AKA "The Guvnor" from everyone at Beacon Park.
